Andor makes up for every disappointing modern Star Wars project. I think it’s the best Star Wars story ever, including the original trilogy. The second season’s final stretch is some of the best TV I’ve ever watched.

People claim Code Geass has the greatest ending of all time, and I suffered through every episode to get there. It can definitely be exciting, but I found it incredibly shallow, with one too many ass-pull twists—especially in the second season. By the latter half, the plot barely made sense to me. Wildly overrated.

I went in with really high expectations for this Korean thriller, but its themes felt a little too on the nose. I never found it believable that this ordinary guy would start murdering the other candidates for the job he wanted. It’s incredibly well shot, and I love Park Chan-wook, but this one didn’t live up to the hype.

A deeply moving thriller about a Stasi officer monitoring a playwright and his lover in East Berlin. I love how it captures both the history and emotional atmosphere of life under surveillance. It’s romantic, tense, and one of those films I know I’ll never forget.

Cliché answer, but this is probably my favorite Korean movie of all time. The twist genuinely blew my mind, and I love how it moves between comedy, thriller, horror, and tragedy while exploring class—something every society understands. A Bong Joon Ho classic, and the first non-English-language film to win Best Picture because it was just too damn good to ignore.

A terrific Argentine-Spanish thriller about a retired legal counselor revisiting an unsolved murder. It has an incredible tracking shot through a packed soccer stadium and one of the craziest twists I’ve ever seen. Did I mention I like twists?

I’m lucky I waited five years after launch to play Cyberpunk 2077, because what I found was a thrilling story with incredibly smooth controls—especially when you play as a katana-wielding cyber-ninja. Phantom Liberty is an amazing spy thriller packed with cinematic moments, hard choices, and great performances from Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, and the rest of the cast. It’s one of the best pieces of cyberpunk media in recent memory, and I can’t wait for the sequel.

The Furious is the best martial arts movie since The Raid 2, and that is incredibly high praise. It has real martial artists beating the crap out of each other, but the final five-way fight at the police station genuinely blew my mind with how crazy the choreography gets. A must-watch if you’re actually a martial arts fan.

Chrono Trigger is my all-time favorite RPG. An all-star team—including Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama—came together to make an incredible time-travel story with characters that still make me nostalgic, beautiful art, and, most of all, a soundtrack I still listen to today. If you’ve never played it, I highly recommend trying it on mobile. It’s available on both iOS and Android.
